Displaying Weather Information on Algo IP Devices
Show location-based weather information on Algo IP devices.
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
Overview
Introduced with firmware 5.7, the Weather Display feature allows Algo 8410 and 8420 IP Displays and the 8450 IP Console to show location-based weather information for locations in the United States and Canada.
How to Display Weather Using ADMP
With the Algo Device Management Platform (ADMP), users can display current conditions, hourly forecasts, or weekly forecasts as full-screen slides.

Current weather can also be added as a widget over another slide or included within a slideshow, keeping local conditions visible alongside other important information.

Weather data is sourced from Environment and Climate Change Canada for Canadian locations and NOAA for U.S. locations.
This gives employees and visitors quick access to weather information that may affect transportation, deliveries, outdoor activities, staffing, and other daily operations. Rather than creating and updating weather slides manually or relying on a separate system, users can present current local information directly on supported Algo devices.
Weather settings and content can also be synchronized through ADMP across multiple devices, helping organizations maintain consistent, locally relevant information throughout a facility.
