Description
Algo devices can be used for emergency notification and signaling activities
All Algo IP devices contain a relay input that allows the connection of an external call button (Algo 1202). Through either issuing an emergency notification or a SIP-based call, Algo devices can convey emergency messages themselves and simultaneously cast the message via multicast to other devices on the network.
The 1202 Call button can be configured via a compatible Algo IP endpoint for button press activation to initiate one of the following actions:
- Multicast an alert or announcement.
- Make a SIP call to a configured extension to play a discreet notification when the call is answered.
- Make a SIP call to a configured extension and permit hands-free two-way communication (e.g. via the Algo IP speaker microphone).

As an accessory, it leverages the intelligence and supervision of the connected Algo IP endpoint. Designed for high visibility in shared or high-traffic environments, the 1202 provides a simple and direct activation method. A secondary button beneath the primary LED lets users stop or pause active announcements locally.
The 1202 is ideal for deployments where rapid identification and easy activation are a priority. Its large, highly visible design supports customer-facing, public-area, and industrial environments where users may need a clearly marked call or alert point that is easy to locate and activate.
