Algo and Polycom

In some organizations telephones alone are not enough. Large warehouses, machine shops, factory or plants, schools, retail shops, outdoor yards, and common areas may require voice paging, loud ringing, and visual alerting, or also have the need to secure an entrance with a video intercom.

One or more of these requirements may seem an obstacle for an organization considering a move to hosted UC, including Broadsoft and Metaswitch, or other IP communication server.

Algo has partnered with Polycom to offer fully compatible solutions, including support for Polycom Group Paging and Wideband G.722 codec, to seemlessly expand application requirements in a Polycom environment.

Algo Lync Interface

The Algo Lync Interface is now available as a Beta UCMA application. The Interface allows the 8180 SIP Audio Alerter's Ring extension to register with a Lync server for loud ringing. (Note: The Interface does not currently support registering the 8180 Page extension, however, for voice paging the 8180 can be configured as part of a Polycom Group Page multicast.) The Algo Lync Interface also supports registration of the 8128 SIP Strobe Light for visual ring alerting and other notification applications.
