Meeting Regulatory Requirements

Explore the regulatory requirements that shape communication system design, including emergency communications, accessibility, and public safety, and learn how Algo solutions help organizations address these requirements.

Compliance Standards

Compliance standards and certifications help guide product selection, procurement, and deployment decisions. Explore the compliance areas most relevant to IP endpoints and learn how Algo products and documentation support these requirements.

TAA – Trade Agreements Act

The Trade Agreements Act (TAA) establishes procurement requirements for products purchased by the U.S. government. Algo manufactures TAA-compliant endpoints in accordance with country-of-origin requirements for products manufactured or substantially transformed in the United States or designated countries.

NDAA – National Defense Authorization Act

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) includes restrictions on the use of certain telecommunications equipment and services. Algo products are designed to align with NDAA requirements, supporting customers with procurement and security review processes.

PSTI – Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act (UK)

The Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Act establishes cybersecurity requirements for connected products sold in the UK. Algo provides compliance documentation to support customer evaluation and procurement requirements under the PSTI framework.

FCC compliant Algo devices

FCC – Federal Communications Commissions

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations establish technical requirements for electronic devices sold in the United States. Algo products undergo testing and certification to help ensure compliance with FCC standards for electromagnetic compatibility and device operation.

RoHS compliant products from Algo

RoHS – Restriction of Hazardous Substances

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive limits the use of certain hazardous materials in electronic equipment. Algo manufactures RoHS-compliant products and maintains processes to support compliance with applicable environmental requirements.

EN-54 / NFPA-72 Standards

Algo IP Endpoints are not EN 54 or NFPA 72 compliant, and they are not intended to be. This is not a limitation of Algo products, but a fundamental characteristic of IP-based, serverless endpoint architectures. This decentralized architecture is inherent in the design of Algo products; intentionally designed to be flexible, headless, decentralized, and edge-based IP devices.
