With the release of Algo Firmware 5.5, significant updates have been made to Algo Device Management Platform (ADMP). Account holders can expect streamlined deployment management, enhanced security measures for accounts and devices, remote management capabilities, and streamlined auditing and data retrieval solutions. Let’s explore the six new features:

1. Multi-tenancy for enhanced account monitoring

ADMP’s multi-tenancy feature simplifies the management of multiple deployments by centralizing control within a single main account. From the main account, the user can oversee and manage devices connected to various tenant accounts. Main account holders can also add and manage users, set custom permissions, update display names, and easily search for users or account titles to review access levels.

2. Single sign-on for improved account security

ADMP now supports single sign-on (SSO) through Microsoft accounts, offering users seamless access while enhancing account security. This functionality is powered by Azure Active Directory (AD), Microsoft’s cloud-based enterprise identity and access management (IAM) solution.

3. Fault detection for enhanced supervision

Fault detection allows users to monitor device accessories in real-time, such as if a satellite speaker becomes disconnected from the main IP speaker, or if a call button is not functioning with a paging adapter.  Appropriate measures can then be quickly taken to investigate the fault, improving the overall efficiency and dependability of the system. Fault detection is available for I/O devices that support supervision of accessory devices.

4. Remote device UI for off-premise access

For ease of configuration and monitoring, remote device UI allows ADMP users to access and configure individual Algo devices directly from ADMP without being on the same network as the device. Currently, remote device UI is available for a specific subset of devices listed in the ADMP Guide.

5. System log for reporting and troubleshooting

The system log records user actions and changes made in ADMP, making it easy to audit and troubleshoot the ADMP account. This data is stored in the platform for up to one year and can be exported to CSV. System logs also increase organization transparency, allowing users to pinpoint the source of an error and who made the changes.

6. Export device data for internal audits

ADMP device data can also be exported to CSV. This is helpful for organizations to conduct internal audits, especially if the data is exported regularly. The CSV file will contain all devices found on the Device page, which is ideal for those who want to keep a regular record of connected devices, their status, and firmware.

Streamline deployments with ADMP

ADMP is continuously evolving to meet the needs of users. With the new features released, device management is streamlined and enhanced to simplify the deployment and management of Algo devices.
