This page provides the files necessary to upgrade your 8039 to Firmware Version 4.3.2.

WHAT’S NEW IN FIRMWARE VERSION 4.3.2:

  • NEW – One-step upgrade capability from FW 1.7 and above
  • Add support for additional 802.1x authentication methods
  • Improve DNS SRV failure detection and failback feature
  • Fix double LLDP parsing issue
  • Remove quotes around system description for LLDP
  • Update Linux system (includes all latest security patches)

FIRMWARE UPGRADE PROCEDURE

Please select the current firmware version your 8039 is running and follow the instructions in one of the sections below:

Version 2.0.1 or Higher

Method 1: Upgrade Using URL Link (Internet access required)
Recommended method if your device(s) can access the Internet

  • Open the web interface, go to System > Firmware. Select the ‘From URL Method’. Copy and Paste the URL below and click Upgrade.
  • Firmware Upgrade (v4.3.2): https://www.algosolutions.com/firmware/algo-8039-4.3.2f.sfw
    Note: Upgrade will take approximately 25 minutes to complete.

Method 2: Upgrade Using Downloaded Files
Alternate method for devices that cannot access the Internet

  • First, download the file from the link below, and save to your local computer.
  • Next, open the web interface, and go to “System > Firmware”. In the Upgrade section, select the .sfw file in the “Signed Firmware File” field. Click Upgrade.
  • Firmware Upgrade (v4.3.2): algo-8039-4.3.2f.sfw   (139 MB)
    Note: Upgrade will take approximately 25 minutes to complete.

Version 1.7 to 2.0.1

Method 1: Upgrade Using URL Link (Internet access required)
Recommended method if your device(s) can access the Internet

  • Open the web interface, go to System > Maintenance. Select the ‘From URL Method’. Copy and Paste the URL below and click Upgrade.
  • Firmware Upgrade (v4.3.2): http://www.algosolutions.com/firmware/algo-8039-4.3.2f.fw
    Note: Upgrade will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Method 2: Upgrade Using Downloaded Files
Alternate method for devices that cannot access the Internet

  • First, download the files from the links below, and save to your local computer.
  • Next, open the web interface, and go to “System > Maintenance”. In the Upgrade section, select the .fw file in the “Firmware Image” field, and the .md5 file in the “MD5 Checksum” field. Click Upgrade.
  • Firmware Upgrade (v4.3.2):

    Note: Upgrade will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Version 1.6 or Lower

STEP 1 – Upgrade to 1.7.6 using either method below

Method 2: Upgrade Using Downloaded Files

  • First, download the files from the links below, and save to your local computer.
  • Next, open the web interface, and go to “System > Maintenance”. In the Upgrade section, select the .fw file in the “Firmware Image” field, and the .md5 file in the “MD5 Checksum” field. Click Upgrade.
