Telephone Visual Message Waiting Indication
A highly visible message waiting light is an essential part of any telephone system equipped with voice mail. Such a light can ensure important messages are immediately noticed and promptly heard, thus minimizing the cost and frustration of lengthy communication delays.
While most telephones display message waiting events on a small text screen or light indicator, these indications are often insufficient for many users. Consequently, important time-sensitive messages can go unnoticed until it's too late. For example, a lab technician or supervisor, who frequently works some distance from a telephone, may require highly visible notification from a distance that they have a voice mail message.
Algo offers a number of solutions for Visual Message Waiting Indication indication that are compatible with telephone technologies that include analog, Nortel, and Meridian Digital Centrex. In most cases, these solutions are made up of two parts: the "visual" part (the lights), and the "connecting" part (the interface device that allows you to connect to various telephone technologies).
Indicator Lights
Algo offers two basic indicator light options: the Algo 1127P Visual Alerter and the Algo 1126 Strobe Light, both of which can be used interchangeably depending on the application.
1127 Visual Alerter
A softly diffused high-intensity general purpose LED indicator light for visual indication of telephone in-use, ringing, message waiting, and ACD caller in queue. Supported telephone technologies include: Nortel digital, IP Softphone 2050, SIP, Meridian Digital Centrex, and analog.
