A Primer on Telephone Loud Ringing

Adding an external loud ringer to a telephone system can ensure that telephone rings are clearly heard and calls consistently answered. Ideal for use in noisy work environments or for the hard-of-hearing, loud phone ringers help relieve the stress - and cost - of missed calls.

Telephone loud ringing is a particularly important tool where one or more of the following conditions exist:

• Answering calls quickly is critical to the business or organizational function and/or missing a call can have significant negative consequences (including lost business, injury, stress, etc.)
• Work environments have high or widely variable background noise that make it difficult to consistently hear telephone rings
• Individual work locations make it difficult to hear the nearest telephone either because of distance or because of other barriers such as walls or equipment
• Workers who are hearing impaired and thus have difficulty hearing standard telephone rings

Typical applications for loud ringers include warehouses and storerooms, machine shops and factory floors, Emergency service operations, outdoor works yards, farms, and assisted living centers.

Algo's Loud Ringing Solutions

Algo offers two primary solutions for Telephone Loud Ringing. These consist of a Ringer unit (either the Algo 1825 Duet Plus Loud Ringer or the 8180 SIP Audio Alerter) operating as the sole component – or in conjunction with an external speaker (typically the Algo 1185 Horn Speaker) for extra loud functionality or for outdoor applications.
