Choosing an effective loud ringer solution depends greatly on the environment the telephone ringer will be used in. For reference, the following chart provides a guide to compare sound levels in typical application environments.

Allowable Background Noise vs. Distance to Listener
The following chart provides a guide to how Algo's Loud Ringers (1825 Duet Plus and the 8180 SIP Audio Alerter) perform with various background noise levels and distances. As can be seen, the greater the distance between the listener and the loud ringer, the lower the allowable background noise levels must be in order for the ringer to be effective.
