USB Analog Terminal Adapter (ATA) for Nortel IP Softphone 2050

Algo’s USB Analog Terminal Adapter enables the use of a traditional analog wired or cordless telephone, TTY/TDD terminal, fax machine1, or other analog device with a Nortel IP Softphone 2050 (Version 2 B254 or newer) for Business Communication Manager (BCM) or Communication Server 1000 (CS 1000).

For the home office, branch office, or contact center requiring use of a standard wired or cordless analog telephone in conjunction with the IP Softphone, the USB ATA is a great productivity enhancement providing easy integration without costly hardware and network upgrades in a secure enterprise class IP environment. Specialized devices such as TTY/TDD telephones for the hearing impaired can also be connected to an IP Softphone 2050 using the USB ATA, and permit compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., US Government Section 508).

Ring Voltage and Caller Line Identification are provided for inbound calls to the 2050 and outbound calls are easily made with DTMF (touch-tone) dialing. The USB ATA is powered entirely by the host PC’s USB port to minimize cords and connections. The unit also conforms to all relevant Windows Plug & Play specifications making installation fast and simple.

Ordering Guide

Description Product Code
USB Analog Terminal Adapter (package includes USB ATA, USB cord, and User Guide) 4900

Note:

  1. Fax functionality requires G.711 codec (no T.38 support). Fax performance may vary with PC and network capability. For this reason, Algo does not recommend the USB Analog Terminal Adapter for frequent multi-page fax traffic. Some PCs may require settings to improve audio performance necessary for fax applications.
