USB Analog Terminal Adapter for Nortel

Algo’s USB Analog Terminal Adapter enables the use of a traditional analog wired or cordless telephone, TTY/TDD terminal, fax machine1, or other analog device with the following Nortel IP Phones:

  • IP Softphone 2050 (Version 2 B254 or newer2) for BCM or CS 1000
  • Nortel 1100-Series IP Phones equipped with a USB port

For the home office, branch office, or contact center requiring use of a standard wired or cordless analog telephone in conjunction with the IP Softphone 2050 (or an 1100-series IP Phone), the USB ATA is a great productivity enhancement providing easy integration without costly hardware and network upgrades in a secure enterprise class IP environment. Specialized devices such as TTY/TDD telephones for the hearing impaired can also be connected to the IP Phone using the USB ATA, and permit compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., US Government Section 508).

Ring Voltage and Caller Line Identification are provided for inbound calls to the IP Phone/Softphone and outbound calls are easily made with DTMF (touch-tone) dialing. For the IP Softphone 2050, the USB ATA is powered entirely by the host PC’s USB port to minimize cords and connections. The unit also conforms to all relevant Windows Plug & Play specifications making installation fast and simple.
