What's New in ECR Software Version 2.3

Version 2.3 of ECR Software brings many improvements and enhancements over the previous Version 2.1.0, particularly in regards to ease of use, functionality, and reliability.

Vista and Windows 7 Compatibility

ECR Software is now compatible with the Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems.

The program continues to maintain compatibility with Windows XP and Windows 2000, however support for Windows 98 has now been discontinued.

New Tabbed Graphical Interface Design

We've added tabbed views to make switching between different views simpler. Here's an example of the tabs from the ECR Supervisor Viewer interface.

Call Record Player Speed Control

A new Call Record Player Speed Control allows you to adjust how fast a call record will play back.

A slow speed is useful if you have to type out a written record of a file and want to ensure the conversation is slow enough for you to keep up. A faster speed allows you to quickly scan through a file to find a particular piece of information.

Improved Date & Time Selection Controls
(Statistics & Call Finder Views)

Now it's easy to choose start and end dates for Statistical summaries in the Statistics view or to search for call records using the Call Finder.

Statistics View Call Type Graphic Display

The Statistics view now includes a graphical pie chart that makes it easy to see the types of calls over a given time period.

ECR System Configuration Wizard Complete Redesign

A completely redesigned System Wizard has been added that makes configuration of recording hardware faster and more intuitive. The wizard includes ECR shelf addressing support.

Send Logs Tool

In the rare event of system problems, users can now easily compress and send to Algo a file of ECR System logs, a step that can greatly aid troubleshooting.

When users select this function, a calendar will appear where one can set the start and end dates for the log data.

 

 

Bug Fixes and Error Reporting Improvements

Based on user feedback and extensive testing, this new version adds numerous minor bug fixes. In addition, the program includes improvements in error reporting that will allow easier troubleshooting in the event problems do occur in the future.
