Nortel's BCM Professional Call Recording (PCR) Tool
Release 5.0 for BCM50 and BCM450 Nortel includes a key coded feature named Professional Call Recording with recording rules configured in Element Manager. The BCM itself does not store the call records which are sent by email to recipients upon completion of a call.
Some user control is provided through feature codes that allow a user to enable or disable call recording for a DN. If recording needs are simple, and calls of reasonably short duration, then PCR may provide a recording solution by itself.
PCR requires a key code license per concurrent recording. So although a system may have many phones if only external calls are recorded then licensing is only required for the number of trunks.
Algo's BCM Call Recording (BCR) Software provides additional value and usability for PCR and eliminates the email delivery of call records by communicating directly with the BCM.
