How is Algo BCR different from Algo ECR?

Algo's ECR solution can record from any Nortel TDM phone connected to a Norstar, BCM, M1, or CS1K system. This works by tapping the TDM wire pair to retrieve audio and call data such as dialed number and call display. ECR is not dependent on the call server hardware or release.

Algo's BCR works only with BCM Release 5.0 but eliminates any hardware requirements for TDM tap, line tap, or port mirroring. BCR can also be configured to record by DN (IP, TDM, or analog) or by trunk (SIP, T1, BRI, or analog). In addition, BCR can be configured to record targeted events such as conference calls.
